Hey friends!

Welcome to another edition of The Report. Thank you for 200 subscribers! It’s been amazing being a part of this community and chatting with some of you. It truly truly means a lot.

This week’s newsletter will explore the ins and outs of my favorite tool — Raycast. I use Raycast as my default “Spotlight” replacement and to say that it has levelled up my productivity is an understatement.

Raycast

I’ve been using Raycast for many months now and I love that I can do almost anything from my system seamlessly from one command bar. Raycast’s Extension Store offers an impressive amount of integrations that works perfectly with my workflow, including:

  • Searching for my files and notes
  • Adding a new tasks to my task manager
  • Checking my schedule from my calendar
  • Managing my clipboard history
  • Taking quick notes on the go
  • Sending and checking tweets and so much more

Raycast has been invaluable to me in terms of its snappy responses and fluid mechanisms. I can even do a lot of miscellaneous things like currency conversions, defining words, searching for the perfect emoji, managing my windows and apps, or even just throwing a bunch of confetti on my laptop screen when I need a bit of a boost.

Raycast is a perfect companion to make your laptop feel faster. It is ideal for those trying to improve their own efficiency, and for anyone who doesn’t want to spend hours searching for that one file from two weeks ago.

💜 My Favorite Things

For my appreciation for Raycast and the brilliant community that the Raycast team has created, here are some of my favorite Raycast extensions:

1. Notion + Raycast Extension → The fastest way to search and create a Notion page, all at the press of a few buttons.

2. Hacker News + Raycast → Read the latest stories from Hacker News in your Raycast command bar.

3. Snake + Raycast → Get transported back to your childhood by playing the classic Snake game in your Raycast command bar.
